Chroniq (chroniq.ae) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you use our luxury watch marketplace in the UAE.
1. Information We Collect
Account details you provide: name, email, phone number, and (for dealers) business information.
Listing information: watch details, photos, price, and descriptions you submit.
Usage data: pages viewed, searches, and device/browser information collected to improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
To create and manage your account and listings, process payments, and connect buyers with sellers.
To send enquiry notifications, service updates, and (with consent) marketing communications.
To prevent fraud, verify sellers and watch dealers, and keep the marketplace safe.
3. Sharing
Contact details are shared with a seller only when you submit an enquiry. Dealer profiles are public.
We use trusted processors (e.g. Ziina for payments, Supabase for hosting data) bound by confidentiality.
We never sell your personal data.
4. Your Rights — Data Export
You can download a copy of your personal data at any time from Account → Privacy & your data → Request export. We generate a file (JSON and CSV) covering your profile, consent history, listings, saved watches, enquiries, your own messages, valuation history, dealer account, Enterprise quotes, subscription and payment references, and privacy-request history.
Exports are delivered through a private, expiring download link (available for 7 days); the file is never publicly accessible. Exports never include another user's data, payment provider secrets, or our internal notes.
5. Your Rights — Account Deletion
You can delete your account from Account → Privacy & your data → Delete my account. Deletion requires typing a confirmation phrase and is irreversible once complete. It is processed on our servers and is not instant.
When you delete your account we anonymise your profile (name, email, phone, photo), unpublish your listings, delete your saved watches, searches and comparisons, withdraw marketing consent, delete uploaded verification/identity documents where legally permitted, and revoke your active sessions.
We retain payment, invoice, tax, subscription, security and audit records where the law requires (for example accounting and anti-fraud obligations), with your identity anonymised wherever possible. Enterprise contract records are retained where a contract exists.
You can also correct your details or opt out of marketing at any time. If you have any problem exercising these rights, contact us and we will help.
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.
