1. Using Chroniq

You must provide accurate information and be legally able to sell or buy the watch you list or enquire about.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, including price, brand & model, condition, authenticity, and history.

2. Listings & Fees

Private listings are free while we build the marketplace; no payment is taken. Dealer plans are monthly subscriptions (from 499 AED/mo). Any fee is shown before payment and is non-refundable once a listing is published.

We review listings before they go live and may reject or remove any that are misleading, fraudulent, or violate these Terms.

3. Seller Warranties — Ownership, Authenticity & Documents

Chroniq is a marketplace platform. Sellers are responsible for lawful ownership, authenticity, accuracy of listing information, and the right to sell the item.

By listing a watch you warrant that: you are its lawful owner or are authorised by the owner to sell it; it is not stolen, lost, financed, pledged, subject to a lien, or the subject of any third-party claim or dispute; it is not counterfeit, and is not a replica, 'franken' or aftermarket-modified piece presented as genuine.

You further warrant that every detail you provide is genuine and not misleading — including photographs, reference, year and card date, condition, and any box, papers, warranty card, invoice or authenticity document. Reproducing, altering, cloning or reusing another watch's serial number, warranty card or documents is strictly prohibited.

You agree to indemnify and hold Chroniq harmless against any claim, loss, cost or liability arising from your breach of these warranties — including claims relating to stolen goods, counterfeit goods, forged or cloned documents, or misrepresentation of a watch or its ownership.

4. What Chroniq Is and Is Not

Chroniq is not the seller, owner or buyer of any watch listed. We are not an authenticator, appraiser, escrow provider, or guarantor of payment, title or authenticity, unless we have stated so explicitly and in writing for a specific item.

Dealers must have their trade licence reviewed and approved by our team before they can list. Private sellers can verify their identity with an Emirates ID and selfie to earn a badge. Verification checks the seller, never the watch — it is not an authentication, an ownership check, or a stolen-goods check.

Buyers must satisfy themselves before paying: inspect the watch in person or through an independent authenticator, check the serial and documents against the watch, and confirm the seller's right to sell.

5. Enforcement, Suspicious Activity & Law Enforcement

Chroniq may remove, suspend, withhold, investigate, or report listings where fraud, stolen goods, counterfeit goods, document misuse, or suspicious activity is suspected.

We may decline to publish, or may withhold or restrict publication of, a listing where serial numbers, warranty cards or supporting documents appear altered, cloned, inconsistent or otherwise risky — including while we make further checks.

We may suspend or close accounts, withhold listing fees, and cooperate with police, regulators and other law enforcement or competent authorities, including by sharing listing, account and transaction records where we are required or permitted to do so by law.

6. Transactions

All sales happen directly between buyer and seller. Chroniq is not a party to any transaction and gives no warranty on any watch.

Always inspect a watch in person (or via independent authentication) and verify the serial number, box & papers and condition before paying.

7. Trademarks & Brand Affiliation

Chroniq is an independent marketplace and is not affiliated with, authorised by, endorsed by, or connected to any watch brand or manufacturer.

All trademarks, brand names, model names and logos shown on Chroniq are the property of their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only — to help users identify, compare and find watches. Their use does not imply any endorsement or partnership.

8. Subscriptions, Verification & Valuation

Dealer subscriptions are billed monthly with no automatic recurring charge — renewal is a manual payment each period. If a renewal is not paid, a 7-day grace period applies, after which affected listings are paused (not deleted) and restored on renewal.

Verification checks the seller, never the watch — it is not an authentication, an ownership check, or a stolen-goods check. It is not a guarantee of a seller's conduct or solvency. Paying for a subscription does NOT grant verification — the two are separate.

Multi-user team access is not yet available; the self-service team portal is a future feature.

Valuations are estimates based on comparable market evidence — not a binding offer or a guaranteed sale price. Enterprise pricing is an estimate that requires our approval and your acceptance before it becomes a contract.

9. Payments

Payments are processed by Ziina. Chroniq does not store card details. Your order is confirmed only after Ziina verifies the payment on our servers — returning to the site in your browser is not, by itself, confirmation of payment.

10. Prohibited Conduct

No fraudulent, stolen, misrepresented, or duplicate listings. No harassment, scraping, or misuse of other users' data.

11. Liability

Chroniq is provided 'as is'. To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, we are not liable for losses arising from transactions between users or from reliance on listing information or valuations (which are estimates only).

12. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
